Consular Services Available in New Orleans to Finnish Citizens
Passport Renewal Applications:
The Consul will receive passport renewal applications (although
passports are issued by Consul General in New York). Finish citizens
may obtain passport renewal applications at the Consulate or from
Consul General in New York (www.finlandnyc.org).
They must deliver the completed applications to the Consul personally
and sign in his presence. The Consul will require proof of identity
(this may be existing passport or other official document bearing
photograph), 3 passport photographs (35mm x 45mm or 2" x 3"),
and payment of the application fee in cash, money order or cashier's
check. The Consul will forward the completed application to the
Consul General in New York for official action.
Notarial Services:
The Consul will notarize, certify and authenticate documents in
order to render them valid. The Consul will also certify copies
of documents if in English and if the originals are produced to
him. The Consul will certify a person is alive, for receiving pension,
inheritance, etc. The Consul will require proof of identity (this
may be passport or other official documents bearing a photograph).
